Instagram · orders

Views but no orders? Check these 3 things.

When people watch but don't buy, it's rarely the content. In almost every audit we find the same three gaps: the price is hidden, there's no clear way to order, and the first second of the post doesn't say what it is or who it's for.

1Show the price

"DM for price" feels exclusive, but most people won't send a message just to ask. They scroll to the next seller who shows it. Put one price on every post, for that one item, and a price highlight on your profile.

Before: phone photos, no prices, "DM for price".
After: studio look, one price on every post, a number for every bag.

2Make ordering one tap

Your bio needs one link that opens the way to buy: WhatsApp with a ready message, a booking page, or your shop. Not five links, not a link to another social profile. The last line of the bio should say why to tap it: "Prices + order in one tap".

Check it like a stranger: open your profile on someone else's phone and try to buy something. Count the taps. More than three, and you lose people.
It works for apps too. Kathleen, founder of the US app You Have Time, got our free check and made the changes herself within days: email-only sign-up, calendars made optional, a clearer website, link previews for social media and a demo video. Fewer steps before the "yes", the same idea as one-tap ordering.

3Say it in the first second

The first second of a reel and the first slide of a carousel decide whether a stranger stays. Name who it's for and what they get: "Handmade bags for Baku summers" works better than a slow pan over a table. One product per reel, start to finish, so nobody gets confused about what they'd receive.

Questions

Should I put prices on Instagram posts?

Yes, for products under a few hundred dollars. Show one price for the one item in the post; people who see the price and still message you are real buyers.

Is it the algorithm's fault that nobody buys?

Usually not. If people view your posts, the algorithm is already showing you. The leak is after the view: hidden price, no clear way to order, or a post that doesn't say what it is.

How fast do these fixes work?

The profile fixes take a day. Orders follow the reach you already have, so pages with steady views usually see messages change first.

Want this for your shop?
